การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตร อำเภอเขาค้อ จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตร อำเภอเขาค้อ จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ และเพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ด้านการท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตร ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ปัจจัยส่งเสริมให้เกิดการท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตรขึ้นในอำเภอเขาค้อ คือ การเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีการทำเกษตรกรรม เช่น การเป็นแหล่งเพาะปลูกเสาวรส มะระหวาน กระชายดำ และพืชผักเมืองหนาว รูปแบบกิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตรที่เกิดขึ้นมีทั้งกิจกรรมทางน้ำ กิจกรรมบ้านพักโฮมสเตย์ กิจกรรมด้านการเกษตรและวัฒนธรรม การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตรนั้น ต้องดำเนินการทั้งระดับนโยบายและระดับท้องถิ่น โดยเฉพาะองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นและหน่วยงานส่งเสริมด้านการเกษตรและการท่องเที่ยวที่เกี่ยวข้อง ในระดับนโยบาย 1) กิจกรรมท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตรโดยชุมชน มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับการใช้ทรัพยากรเกษตรที่เป็นศักยภาพเชิงพื้นที่โดยเฉพาะสภาพแวดล้อมทางทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและการเกษตร ซึ่งเป็นทรัพยากรท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตรที่สำคัญ เพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการของนักท่องเที่ยวด้านการพักผ่อน ดังนั้นในระดับนโยบายควรกำหนดให้พื้นที่ต่าง ๆ ที่มีศักยภาพดังกล่าวเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีความเหมาะสมจะพัฒนาเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตร โดยสนับสนุนงบประมาณให้แก่องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นและองค์กรเอกชนในพื้นที่ดังกล่าวที่มีแผนงานโครงการด้านการพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตร 2) รณรงค์กิจกรรมท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตร ประเภทการมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมการเกษตร การเรียนรู้ประเพณีวัฒนธรรมชนบท และการสัมผัสธรรมชาติการเกษตรของชุมชนให้มากขึ้น เพื่อให้ชุมชนต่าง ๆ ที่มีศักยภาพดังกล่าวเกิดการตื่นตัวในการรวมกลุ่มและพัฒนาชุมชนให้เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตร สนับสนุนให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องมีโครงการศึกษาดูงานด้านการพัฒนาชุมชนโดยเฉพาะกิจกรรมเกษตรทางเลือกประเภทต่าง ๆ เพื่อกระตุ้นให้ชุมชนมีทักษะด้านการบริหารจัดการ การต้อนรับผู้มาเยือนและมีการพัฒนากิจกรรมอื่น ๆ เพื่อเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยว ในระดับท้องถิ่น ส่วนในระดับท้องถิ่น 1) สร้างกิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตรให้ความหลากหลาย ครอบคลุมกิจกรรมนันทนาการต่าง ๆ เช่น การเดินป่า หรือกิจกรรมสัมผัสธรรมชาติในลักษณะอื่น ๆ ซึ่งเป็นที่ชื่นชอบของนักท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตรหรือเชิงนิเวศ 2) ส่งเสริมให้เกษตรกรนำทรัพยากรเกษตรที่มีอยู่แล้วแต่มิได้ใช้เพื่อการเกษตรมาพัฒนาให้เป็นกิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยว เช่น ที่พักในฟาร์มและพื้นที่ว่างสำหรับตั้งแคมป์ เป็นต้น 3) พัฒนามัคคุเทศน์ท้องถิ่นด้านการท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตร เพื่อให้เป็นกลไกนำนักท่องเที่ยวเข้าเยี่ยมชมการเกษตรของชุมชน 4) ฟื้นฟูภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้านเกี่ยวกับการเกษตรเพื่อให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้เรียนรู้
