การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นเกี่ยวกับการบรรจุหีบห่อในจังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ และออกแบบและพัฒนาบรรจุภัณฑ์เพื่อสิ่งแวดล้อมผลิตภัณฑ์ OTOP จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์
จากภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นและสร้างนวัตกรรมบรรจุภัณฑ์เพื่อสิ่งแวดล้อม ตามมาตรฐานสากล ดําเนินการวิจัยโดยศึกษาภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นเกี่ยวกับการบรรจุหีบห่อ ในจังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ หาแนวทาง ออกแบบและพัฒนาและการทดสอบบรรจุภัณฑ์
