การศึกษาการพัฒนาสูตรสบู่แฟนซีจากน้ำมันที่ใช้แล้ว มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษาวิธีการบำบัดน้ำมันที่ใช้แล้ว พัฒนาสูตรสบู่แฟนซีจากน้ำมันที่ใช้แล้ว โดยวิธีการบำบัดน้ำมันที่ใช้แล้วจะใช้วัสดุที่มีในท้องถิ่น คือการกรอง จะใช้ผ้าขาวบางพับหลายๆ ชั้น เพื่อกรองเอาสิ่งเจือปนจากอณูของอินทรียวัตถุออกจากน้ำมัน จากนั้นใช้น้ำส้มสายชูในอัตราส่วน 1:1 หมักทิ้งไว้ เพื่อช่วยในการดับกลิ่นเหม็นหืนของน้ำมัน และใช้ถ่านดูดซับกลิ่นและความชื้นของน้ำมันส่วนเกินออกขั้นตอนสุดท้ายจะใช้น้ำสะอาดลงไปปริมาตรเท่ากันกับน้ำมันเพื่อล้างทำความสะอาด การทำสบู่แฟนซีมีรูปแบบต่างๆได้สบู่แฟนซีปลาโลมา สบู่แฟนซีรูปหัวใจ สบู่แฟนซีวุ้นมะพร้าว สบู่แฟนซีรูปวงกลมหลายสีซ้อนกัน และสบู่แฟนซีรูปส้ม จากการประเมินความชอบของผู้ประเมินที่มีต่อสบู่แฟนซีที่ได้จากการวิจัย พบว่าคะแนนความชอบที่ระดับ 4 และ 5 รวมกัน ซึ่งหมายถึงชอบและชอบมาก ตามลำดับ ทั้งนี้คะแนนความชอบโดยรวมของสบู่แฟนซีจากน้ำมันที่ใช้แล้ว เท่ากับ 75.5 % และทดสอบคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพ และทางเคมีของผลิตภัณฑ์สบู่ก้อนใส โดยใช้วิธีการทดสอบตามมาตรฐานผลิตภัณฑ์อุตสาหกรรม มอก.29-2545 และมาตรฐานผลิตภัณฑ์ชุมชน มผช.94-2546 ผลิตภัณฑ์สบู่ที่ได้นั้นสามารถนำมาใช้ชำระล้างขจัดคราบสกปรกในร่างกายได้
