This research aimed to develop a soil parameter monitoring and data acquisition system for the cultivation of Husband Black Glutinous Rice using IoT technology and a cloud-based database system to enhance the production process in Phetchabun Province through precision agriculture knowledge. The developed system is capable of measuring key soil parameters, including nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), soil pH, electrical conductivity (EC), soil moisture (H), and soil temperature (T). Data were automatically recorded at 3-hour intervals and tested under field conditions for a period of five days across three cultivation plots.
The experimental results indicated that Plot 1 consistently exhibited high levels of primary nutrients, with nitrogen ranging from 150–157 mg/kg, phosphorus from 394–409 mg/kg, and potassium from 389–404 mg/kg. The soil pH ranged between 7.6–8.2, and electrical conductivity (EC) was relatively high at 906–937 µS/cm. The average soil moisture content was approximately 66–67%, and soil temperature ranged from 27–29°C. These values reflect highly fertile soil conditions but with a relatively high salt concentration. In contrast, Plot 2 showed significantly lower primary nutrient levels, with nitrogen ranging from 13–23 mg/kg, phosphorus from 78–101 mg/kg, and potassium from 70–94 mg/kg. The soil pH remained constant at 9 throughout the measurement period, indicating strongly alkaline soil conditions. The EC values ranged from 251–296 µS/cm, soil temperature ranged from 29–32°C, and soil moisture was consistently very high at 93–94%, suggesting continuously saturated soil conditions. And plot 3 exhibited relatively stable nitrogen levels at approximately 85 mg/kg, with phosphorus ranging from 50–59 mg/kg and potassium from 43–51 mg/kg. The soil pH ranged between 6.7–7.8, which is closest to the optimal range for rice cultivation. The EC values were low, ranging from 194–211 µS/cm, soil temperature ranged from 22–31?C, and soil moisture ranged from 20–30%. These results indicate that Plot 3 had a more balanced soil condition in terms of pH and salinity compared to the other two plots.
