งานวิจัยนี้นำเสนอการพัฒนาระบบ Network Monitoring ด้วยโปรแกรม Cacti เพื่อใช้เป็นเครื่องมือตรวจสอบสถานะระบบเครือข่ายโดยใช้วัดปริมาณการใช้งานอินเทอร์เน็ตแต่ละหน่วยงานภายในมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเพชรบูรณ์ โดยการนำ Cacti ซึ่งเป็นโปรแกรมตรวจสอบและติดตามระบบเครือข่าย (Network Monitoring) ที่สามารถวัดปริมาณการใช้งานระบบเครือข่าย (Traffic) และแสดงผลในรูปแบบกราฟ เป็นโปรแกรมประเภทโอเพ่นซอร์ส (Open Source) ที่ไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่ายในการใช้งาน มาใช้งานบนระบบเครือข่ายภายในมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเพชรบูรณ์
ผลลัพธ์จากการวิจัยระบบนี้สามารถเฝ้ามองการทำงานของเครือข่าย ช่วยให้สามารถดูแลอุปกรณ์เครือข่ายจำนวนมาก ที่อาจจะอยู่ในบริเวณเดียวกันหรืออยู่ห่างไกลออกไป ได้อย่างทั่วถึง ช่วยให้เห็นภาพรวมของสถานะการทำงานของระบบ ทำให้สามารถวิเคราะห์สาเหตุของปัญหาได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ สามารถเรียกดูสถานะการทำงานย้อนหลังเพื่อประโยชน์ในการวิเคราะห์ปัญหา รวมทั้งสามารถสรุปภาพรวมประสิทธิภาพของระบบได้ นอกจากนี้ยังสามารถนำระบบที่พัฒนาขึ้นไปแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้กับผู้ดูแลระบบเครือข่ายภายในและภายนอกมหาวิทยาลัยเพื่อเป็นประโยชน์ต่อไป

This research presents the development of Network Monitoring with Cacti is a tool used to check the status of a network system using measured Internet usage of each unit within the Phetchabun Rajabhat University, by introducing the Cacti, the monitoring and follow-up system network (Network Monitoring) that can measure traffic system network (Traffic), and displays the results in a graphical format is a program open source type (Open Source) that does not cost anything to use to work on networking within the Phetchabun Rajabhat University.
The results of the research, this system can be observed the work of the network makes it possible to take care of a lot of network devices that might be located in the same area or away thoroughly gives an overview of the status of the system. Makes it possible to analyze the cause of the problem effectively. Can get the status of working backwards to the benefit in issue analysis summary, including an overview of system performance. It can also be developed to learn and exchange with the network administrator,within and outside the University to benefit to.
