งานวิจัยฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์คือ เพื่อสำรวจความต้องการศึกษาต่อระดับปริญญาตรี สาขาวิชาภาษาจีน คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเพชรบูรณ์ โดยศึกษาเกี่ยวกับข้อมูลทั่วไปของนักเรียนในเขตอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ จำนวน 7 โรงเรียน คือนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย ในเขตอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ จำนวน 7 โรงเรียน คือ โรงเรียนเพชรพิทยาคม โรงเรียนวิทยานุกูลนารี โรงเรียนเพชรบูรณ์วิทยา และโรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัย โรงเรียนเทศบาล 3 ชาญวิทยา โรงเรียนวัชรชัย และโรงเรียนเซนต์โยเซฟศรีเพชรบูรณ์ รวมถึงความเป็นได้ในการเปิดสอนหลักสูตรสาขาวิชาภาษาจีน คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเพชรบูรณ์ และเป็นช่องทางในการนำความรู้ไปใช้ประโยชน์เมื่อสำเร็จการศึกษา จากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 450 คน เป็นการวิจับเชิงสำรวจ โดยใช้แบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้โปรแกรมสำเร็จรูป SPSS for Window version 11.0
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
1. จากการสำรวจนักเรียนส่วนใหญ่จะเรียนสายศิลป์ ภาษา โดยระดับผลการเรียนเฉลี่ยจะอยู่ที่ 3.01-3.50 มีภูมิลำเนาเดิมอยู่ที่อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ ผู้ปกครองส่วนใหญ่จะประกอบอาชีพค้าขาย ธุรกิจส่วนตัว
2. นักเรียนส่วนใหญ่มีทัศนคติในการศึกษาต่อระดับปริญญาตรี คือ วางแผนว่าจบชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 แล้วจะเรียนเต็มเวลาและหาโอกาสทำงานเท่าที่มีโอกาส และเลือกศึกษาต่อใยมหาวิทยาลัยปิดของรัฐ โดยพิจารณาสาขาที่จะเรียน และสถาบันควบคู่กันไป และเลือกสาขาวิชาที่ตนชอบและถนัดในการศึกษาต่อมากที่สุด
3. นักเรียนร้อยละ 65.33 สนใจศึกษาต่อสาขาวิชาภาษาจีน เพราะชอบวิชาภาษาจีนและอยากมีความรู้ความเข้าใจในภาษาจีนให้มากขึ้น ส่วนใหญ่ต้องการให้เสนอข้อมูลการศึกษาต่อสาขาวิชาภาษาจีนโดยการแนะแนวจากอาจารย์ผู้สอนภาษาจีน และหากมีการเปิดสอนหลักสูตรใหม่ หลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาจีนแล้ว นักเรียนคาดหวังว่าเมื่อสำเร็จการศึกษาต้องการศึกษาต่อในระดับปริญญาโทในประเทศไทย ส่วนความคาดหวังเมื่อสำเร็จการศึกษาที่จะนำในการประกอบอาชีพที่คาดหวังมากที่สุด คือ เป็นครูอาจารย์ และต้องการให้มหาวิทยาลัยที่เปิดสอนหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาจีน เน้นการเรียนการสอนด้านทักษะการพูดมากที่สุด
The research aimed to assess high school students’ desire to study in the Bachelor’s of Arts Program in Chinese at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Phetchabun Rajabhat University. It studied general information among students from seven schools located in Meuang Phetchabun district, Phetchabun province, namely Petchpittayakom School, Wittayanukulnaree School, Phetchabun Wittaya School, Suankularb Wittayalai School, Thetsaban 3 Chan Witthaya School, Watcharachai School, and St. Joseph Sri Phetchabun School. It also explored the possibility to open this program at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Phetchabun Rajabhat University and channels through which students could apply their knowledge once they completed the program. The total sample size was 450. This was survey research which used a questionnaire to collect data, which were subsequently analyzed using SPSS for Window 11.
Research findings:
1. The survey suggested that most of the samples were studying in the Arts and Language Program, with GPAs ranging between 3.01 and 3.50, hometown being Mueang Phetchabun district, and parents working as merchants/business owners.
2. Concerning their attitudes to higher education, most of them planned to study full time and seek a job opportunity if possible once they completed Grade 12, choose a government university taking into account details of the university and its offered program, and choose a program which they preferred the most and were best at.
3. The research found that 65.33 percent of the samples were interested in studying Chinese because they liked it and wanted to be equipped with a better understanding of it. Most of them wanted to get information about high education in Chinese with some guidance from Chinese teachers. They stated that if they completed this Bachelor’s of Arts Program in Chinese (if it was opened), they would enroll in a Master’s of Arts Program in Thailand. As for expected jobs after graduation, most of them wanted to become teachers. Most of them expected that universities offering the Bachelor’s of Arts Program in Chinese to focus on speaking skills.
