This descriptive research was designed to study decision making processes of student in the Phetchabun metropolitan area about attending university.
The sample group was composed of 396 people. The data was collected by questionnaires and interviews. The data was analyzed using the SPSS/FW program in terms of percentage and mean, standard deviation,
The results of the study suggest that decision making processes for student in the Phetchabun attending university was at a high level (x̄ = 4.12, S.D. = 0.736). When considering individual decisions it was found that psychological impulses are at the highest level (x̄ = 4.20, S.D. = 0.697), followed by decision making based on friends and social groups at (x̄ = 4.10, S.D. = 0.747), and decision making about the particular situation and decision making based on information at ( x̄ = 4.03, S.D. = 0.730 and S.D. = 0.785).
